Somnus carefully combine state-of-the-art looms with traditional weaving methods to weave luxurious Fire Retardant, FR chemical free mattress fabric, which snuggly envelops every Somnus mattress. Each sumptuous mattress is glue free, foam free and FR chemical free. Each micro spring within the Somnus collection is encased in 100% plant-based bamboo blended fabric. Bamboo is a truly sustainable fibre that provides antibacterial, moisture wicking and insulating properties, helping to keep you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. NatureCoil™ is our green alternative coil system.

Pioneering glue free Cortec™ spring systems make recycling possible, ensuring there are zero mattresses to landfill. On the Somnus 300 acre farm reared sheep and alpacas provide naturally luxurious, eco fillings, while home-grown flax and hemp absorbs carbon every day. These fine, sustainable materials ensure our handmade mattresses are glue free, foam free, and FR chemical free making Somnus a fully recyclable sleep system.

The Somnus Connaught 36000 Bed With Your Choice of three Somnus Base Options

Somnus craft three alternative base types for you to truly personalise your new luxury bed, each available to order in a wide range of on trend fabrics. The 36cm deep traditional base option is fitted with smooth running metal inset castors that come as standard on all deep divan bases. Any soft close drawer configuration can be selected within the deep divan base. 

The shallow base on legs (29.5cm high) offers a more contemporary look, stylish coordinated solid wooden legs fitted as standard. Lastly Somnus offer a 29cm high slim base on legs, this option offers a more design led style, the slim base is available with nine different leg options. Each height given includes legs or castors and excludes the height of the mattress. Simply select your required size to start configuring your ideal combination.

Headboards are not included and available to purchase for an additional charge, if required. Contemporary and traditional headboard designs are available in a multitude of styles from strut, deep, floating to those with detachable legs for ease of delivery.
