Offering a medium feel mattress tension, the Tiverton is the entry model in the Enchanted House range of divan sets but is still crafted to exemplary standards at the Enchanted House factory in Devon. All bed bases are pocket sprung for added support and comfort. This not only helps to add an extra level of support but will also increase longevity.

Hand Crafted on Dartmoor

Enchanted House pride themselves on using more FSC certified timber in their divans than any other manufacturer. They are proud to offer an exceptional 25 year guarantee on their divan frames – one of the longest in the industry. Storage drawers are built to a high standard, incorporating the industry’s leading drawer runners, and available in all standard height (36cm including castor) bases. A solid Dartmoor oak storage drawer upgrade is available with soft close Blum runners for those storing weightier items.

A shallow base is also available at 26cm including castor for those who wish to reduce the overall height of their beds. Please note storage drawers are not available in the shallow base option. The Tiverton Bed is pictured with the Standard base option and is 64cm in height. Either base option is available in a comprehensive range of fabrics and colours to suit any bedroom design.

The Tiverton Mattress, Upholstered with Dartmoor Wool

This pocket sprung mattress is completely hand-made using traditional methods, materials and techniques by the small team of experienced Enchanted House master craftsman who have a combined experience of hand making beds of over 160 years.

Enchanted House pride themselves as being the UK’s only luxury bed maker to produce ALL of their own wool. Upholstered by hand with the finest, loose Dartmoor wool, every single strand is sourced from their own family farms on Dartmoor.

Each year, 3 tons of wool is taken from the farm and hand-teased into the mattresses. Whilst being a labour intensive process, this gives a significantly better feel to a mattress. The benefits of hand-teasing become apparent as soon as you try the mattress – a luxurious softness, exceptional support and a faster recovery of shape. The Tiverton mattress also features a deep cotton support layer which sits underneath the Dartmoor wool to help maximise your comfort, all wrapped in a high quality chemical free mattress fabric.

10 Year Mattress Guarantee

The mattress is upholstered on both sides of its 1000 pocket springs and requires regular turning. Turning a naturally filled mattress to use both sides will significantly increase its lifespan. This is particularly important when the mattress is brand new, as the fillings will be encouraged to settle evenly to avoid body impressions. A full care guide is supplied with each new Enchanted House mattress.

Hand Side Stitched Borders

The mattress features 2 rows of traditional hand side-stitching. This pulls the outside rows of springs together all the way around the mattress giving it a true, and firmer, edge to edge support. Enchanted House use a totally natural thread (flax) unlike many competitors who will use polyester or nylon.
